There is usually a waiting list for train station parking permits, so many commuters arrive at 6:30 a.m. to obtain a daily parking permit.

The cost for meter/pay station parking is $.25 per ½ hour. Parking meter enforcement is from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The only exceptions are the 12-hour parking lots 4, 6, and 8 as well as the parking garage which begins enforcement from 5:30 a.m. Parking is prohibited in all parking lots, garages, and streets in the business district between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. without an overnight or 24 Permit. Meters and Permits are not required on Sundays or Holidays.

There is usually a waiting list for train station parking permits, so many commuters arrive at 6:30 a.m. to obtain a daily parking permit. Alternatively, commuters arriving after 10 a.m. can use empty spaces remaining in the lot. • Commuters – Lot #3 (Southside Train Station) & Lot #6 (Watterson St.)
• Employees – Lot #8 (North Ave. & Central Ave.), orange bagged meters (Orchard St, Ferris Pl, & Elm St.)
• Daily parking – Lot #3 (first-come-first-serve basis at 6:30 a.m.) See the parking services officer stationed in the lot for your permit. Metered parking is available throughout the town.
The town also offers free parking options:
• Lot #3 (South Ave Train Lot) after 10 a.m.
• On Saturdays in Lot #6, Lot #8, & Lot #3 at non-numbered and non-metered spots.
• On Sundays in all spaces.
